My mouth fell to the floor when I found today's Pin It Pic!  I love an artistically created sugar flower, but when I saw stunning 4-tired wedding cake with a lace texture fondant on each tier accompanied by BLING and BLING initials, I was drawn to the LUSH and delicate fresh flowers in soft ivory and blush tones.  OMG!!!  What an amazing centerpiece for the wedding reception...and I bet that cake tastes delish!!! ENJOY!

The days of the head table are becoming obsolete and giving way to more modern style tables like the sweetheart table and kings table.  But when I saw this head table...I screamed AMAZING-NESS!!!  If you are going to have a head table positioned in front of all the guest tables within the reception space...go BIG, BOLD, BLING, LAVISH and LUSH!!!  I just adore the BLING belt running across the front of this stunning head table! WOW FACTOR!

I love a gorgeous tablescape!!!  And as my eye moves across this stunning "landscape" of black, white, BLING and a POP of fuchsia...I'm in love!!!  There is a thing of too much BLING, but this table design uses a bride's favorite in such a classy why with the beautiful charger and votive candle holders. GORG!

Purple is one stunning wedding color...always has been.  But I'm in awe of this bride because she wasn't afraid to create a monochromatic color palette!!!  Bridesmaids gowns and flowers are in deep, rich, regal PURPLE!!!  And the WOW FACTOR comes into play when you learn that the bouquets...yes with the BLING...are actually made of feathers!  AHHHHHHMAZING!

Sparkle and Shine on Your Wedding Table

Today's blog post was inspired by adding some glitz and glam to your wedding & event tables.  Although you may not be able to afford to "glamorize" the entire space, pick a few items that will add some POP aka WOW Factor to your guest tables.  Check out some of the ideas below:

Check out this fabulous charger that would sparkle and shine on any guest table

Serve your signature drink or champagne in sparkling flutes

Can't afford glitzy table linen, add a sparkling table runner

Instead of glass votive candle holders, select a sparkling crystal holder

WOW Factor at it's finest...sparkling floor-length table linens!!!

The 1st Pin it Pic of July 2012 is for that lovely little lady who walks down that grand aisle, tossing petals so thoughtfully one a softly defined runner, with a little smile on her face...right before the bride's awaited entrance.  The flower girl sets the tone...builds up the excitement.  So nothing but the best basket for this tiny princess in her most frilly dress.  And what little girl doesn't like BLING!  Enjoy!

Accessorizing the Wedding Cake

When selecting your wedding cake, either from a photo or from an actual visit with a cake designer, there are some things that you should consider.  Question - Outside of selecting the cake flavor, filling and decorative frosting, what types of design can be offered to make this cake not only taste good, but look wonderful? So let's think about designing this gorgeous piece of confection from BOTTOM to TOP. 

Your wedding cake will be put on some type of base for easy transport, typically silver or gold, but if you want to give the cake more height, consider placing it up on a decorative cake stand or pedestal.
 

When selecting the actual design components, will you use fresh flowers or sugar flowers over an actual patterned design?  Both will offer elegance to your cake, but the cost difference is major.  Fresh flowers will always be less in cost than using actual sugar flowers.

How about adding some colored ribbon to your wedding cake tiers?  There are so many variety of ribbons (satin, grosgrain, sheer, wired, etc.) that the options and positioning are limitless.

Now what bride doesn't love a little BLING?  Adding bling to a wedding cake can take on so many different forms...from banding each or every other tier, adding bling brooch details or a burst of bling and crystals shooting out of the top tier.

And as you reach the top tier of the wedding cake, ask yourself...do I want a topper?  Know that toppers can be all sort of items...a cluster of fresh or sugar flowers, a bride and groom, an initial monogram or almost any thing you can think of.  Check out our blog post devoted to cake toppers.

BLINGing Out Your Wedding

BLING. The quintessential term made famous by P.Diddy or was it the Cash Money Brothers, either way...it speaks of diamonds and sparkle.  Brides have since formulated the term to mean anything that shines, such as crystals, rhinestones, and diamond-like items intertwined into their wedding day.

In August 2010, I wrote a post on adding BLING to your wedding accessories and my reader count went through the roof!  Well, BLING has certainly evolved even more since that post, so I decided to share some additional ideas with you.  Check out the fabulousness below:

Becoming more and more popular is the BLING wrap around vases

Add brooches to your bridal bouquet and BLING out the handle

BLING out the serving utensils, cake knife and server set or even your toasting glasses

Crystals hanging from a head table centerpiece would add such drama to the table of honor

Instead of ceremony chair decor, place those florals inside a crystal container
and hang from metal stacks down your lovely aisle

How beautiful is this crystal backdrop to divide a space
or create dimension inside your reception space

Don't just display your wedding cake, add a BLING'd out cake stand to the scenario

Crystal chandelier would certainly accentuate your reception space

Add some BLING to your wedding invitations for that additional WOW Factor

Add A Lil' Bling To It All

Today's bride loves BLING! Bling on their invitations. Bling in their bouquet. Bling in the centerpieces. Bling on the wedding cake. BLING, BLING, BLING everywhere. But I must admit...my love for bling and sparkle just adds more elegance to the overall grand affair.

Announce the wedding and make a serious statement by adding sparkle to your wedding invitation or an elegant brooch.

Bling out the wedding cake with rhinestone wraps or cake stand. Even consider a monogram cake topper drenched in crystals.

Bling out your wedding bouquet with this unique and beautiful holder. Get even more creative and have it designed with colored stones.


Add some bling accents to your floral centerpieces. Make them sparkle even more with hanging crystals or even consider an arrangement created from a chandelier.

Remain consistent and purchase a bling cake knife and server set and/or toasting glasses to use during the celebration and have a keepsakes for years to come.

Set bling'd out disposable cameras on the guest tables and ask them to take some fun and candid shots of the reception events.


Or drizzle crystals throughout the venue on guest tables, the cake table, and gift table. The twinkle under candlelight will cause them to shine like diamonds.
