Have you ever wondered about the ago old tradition of "Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something blue"? Something old speaks of continuity and something new brings optimism and hope. Something borrowed spreads happiness and something blue bears fidelity, love, purity and fertility. In thinking of ways to incorporate "Something blue", well actually the color blue, I've decided to list a few whimsical ways to spice up that bit of tradition.
- Instead of the typical neutral of french polish on your toenails, how about blue nail polish.
- Break from wearing shoes to match your gown and spice those feet up with some blue stilettos.
- Now I wouldn't recommend blue make-up unless it works well with your skin tone, but how about a blue jeweled compact or make-up bag to house your personals.
- Add a little color to your wedding attire by carrying a blue clutch.
- You could never go wrong with a sparkle of blue stones on your necklace, bracelet, and/or earrings.
- Consider having a blue crystal charm attached to your wedding bouquet.
- Signature drinks have become a staple at most weddings. What about a blue drink named "Something Blue".
- And wouldn't it be so pretty that in the mist of all of the clear glassware, that you and your husband share your 1st toast with blue flutes.
- Should you decide to write your vows down, read them from a pretty piece of blue paper.
- ...and let's not forget the blue garter.
