Granting Your Wedding Wand Wish

Making that grand exit from the ceremony is common place for most couples.  You'll see the use of bubbles, eco-friendly confetti, rose petals and bird seeds thrown as the newlyweds make their way down the wedding aisle in the direction of photographs or to greet guests.  But I love the idea of ribbon wands...waved by excited wedding guests cheering them on!  They work so much better for photographs, in my opinion, because they can continuously be shaken verses the one or two tosses of petals or confetti.  Check out some of the wand ideas below:

Add bells and a tag of well wishes to the ribbon wand

Personalize the ribbon hanging from the wand
with your names and wedding date

Jazz up a beach wedding with a starfish affixed to the ribbon wand
Display the wands on a table and ask guests at the end of the night to wave
for a fabulous send-off

And guess what, you can make these picture perfect wands yourself.  All you need are wooden dowel rods (or paper straws, plastic sticks), ribbon and a hot glue gun.  Have fun!

Until next time...WEDologize!
