Get Your Dance On! (Day#7)

One of my April weddings had this wonderful idea to provide flip-flops for the ladies when the dancing portion of the reception began.  Purple "dancing shoes" sat effortlessly in a decorated basket right in front of the DJ's table for the female guests to grab.  Only problem was...the male guests wanted a pair, too! LOL! Ladies have all the luck :)

Those Tall Slender Candles (Day#6)

Many of today's centerpieces include pillar candles, votive candles, tea light candles and floating candles, but what about the loner...taper candle?  I know with city ordinances about open flames, the taper has become more obscure, but consider the simple idea below.  It would work really well for the bride who does not want a lot of flowers at her reception but a pop of color.

Items Needed:
1 vase
6-8 taper (or roman) candles - white, ivory or colored
colored ribbon
candle wax to use as adhesive

How To:
Bunch the taper candles together and tie with a ribbon tightly.
Add candle wax to the bottom of all taper candles.
Place in vase and light.

Looks Like Heaven (Day#5)

Baby's Breath isn't just used as your floral filler anymore.  Create a little piece of heaven with this dainty flower and witness the conversations that take place when your guests ask, "Is that really Baby's Breath?" or "What is the name of that flower? The look like clouds."  And the cost...is very budget-friendly.  Need  I say more :)

A Photo Finished Aisle (Day#4)

Your ceremony aisle doesn't always have to include flowers and/or an aisle runner.  But consider this sentimental idea of lining your grand walkway with photographs of you and your groom from birth to the very day you will stand at the altar as husband and wife.  Or use the engagement photos in lovely frames tied with ribbon to the ceremony chairs or pews.  Then after the honeymoon they could line the hallway of the home you share together :)

To Have and To Hold Your Bouquet (Day#3)

Most of the wedding ceremony you will be holding your beautiful bouquet, but what happens to it once all the photos are done and the reception begins?  I mean it is a costly piece and you don't want to have it laying around all night.  Assign it a task as well.

Have a vase at your sweetheart or head table with just a little water at the bottom to cover the stems.  Place your bouquet in the vase and watch it double as a beautiful table centerpiece. You could also consider placing your wedding bouquet on the cake table or dessert table should you already have a head table arrangement. And should you really want to make a dramatic statement, have vases for your bridesmaids scattered on the head table for their bouquets.

Did I Forget Your Birthday? (Day#2)

Instead of the ordinary guest book where guests sign their name and leave their address (as if you didn't already have it), use a calendar and have your guest sign their name under their birth date.  That way, you'll be able to send them a lovely card or sweet message when their special day comes around. Check out this creative idea from Martha Stewart Weddings.

The idea of Lollipops a.k.a. Pops has taken the wedding and event industry by storm!  You can practically put a stick or skewer in almost any dessert and it becomes a new variety of fun!  And don't be fooled into thinking that Pops are for a less formal affair...know that Pops have not barriers and come in all shapes, sizes and sugar amounts :)

Enjoy and digest some of the Pop ideas below:
