Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day is here!  I always get excited about this holiday.  Not for all the love, but because my favorite color is red and V-Day showcases the color perfectly!!!  Oh and it's also 1 of the 3 biggest days to become engaged.  With that said, I'm sharing a little wedding inspiration with you on this LOVE holiday! WGC Partyscape - Urban Tranquility

I decided when selected to do a 2013-1014 Partyscape for Wedding Guide Chicago that I wanted to do something completely out of the norm for my company.  Many...actually most of our clients are traditional in ceremony and scream modern, elegance for their reception.  So with that said, I could never get my arm completely around using natural elements and the rustic motif.  So I decided to challenge my thought process and created...URBAN TRANQUILITY.  Take a peek:

Color of 2014: Radiant Orchid

Once I heard it from Pantone, I was elated!  The Color of the Year for 2014 is Radiant Orchid and works perfectly into wedding planning and design.  It's a great color in florals and attire and you will actually see it pop up in wedding accessories even more.  Take a look at the inspiration board we put together in celebration of this gorgeous color...Radiant Orchid!

And check out some of the colors that pair beautifully with the gorgeous color of 2014.  I especially love the combo using Pastel Yellow and Coral.  Which happen to be your fav?

Happy 12.12.12!!!

It's 12.12.12 - December 12, 2012!  Do you realize that today is the only day in calendar history that the day of the week, day of the month and year are the same numbers?!?!  It will never happen again in our lifetime so I think that's a cause for celebration! Inspired by black and gold...I say celebrate in style!  And for the couples that picked today as their wedding day...CONGRATULATIONS!

2013 Color of the Year!

Well Pantone has spoke and here it is...the 2013 color of the year...((drum roll))...EMERALD!  With this said, I like the idea of this color, much more than last year's color selection.  Now let's see if Pantone will be correct once the wedding planning season gets underway.

Below is a little inspiration to get those juices flowing should you decide to add Emerald as one of the colors for your wedding day.

Color of the Dejanae Events Year!

I know...  I know...  Pantone announced this January that "Tangerine Tango" will be the wedding color of 2012.  We that doesn't serve true on the world of Dejanae Events.  So I'm going to make my own announcement...

The wedding color of 2012 is...TEAL!!!  Yep, I said it!  Teal is the color that more and more of our brides are selecting this year and I'm in love with this color, especially it's pairing with peacock feathers.  Check out some teal inspiration.

Pinterest Interest!!!

 Are you familiar with Pinterest???  Well if you aren't, as a bride...or someone planning an event...I need you to crawl from up under that rock and get into the KNOW! LOL! Pinterest is awesome and my newest creative outlet for wedding vendors and brides.

So what is this Pinterest and how does it work?  Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that allows you to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web by "pinning" them into boards you have created. You can browse pinboards created by other people to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.  When it comes to weddings, as a bride, you can now post the photos of your dream wedding and gather them all on one board or within multiple boards for later reference when meeting with vendors.
