Favoring Your Guests

Although I have been finding a lot of couples making donations to their favorite charities in lew of guest favors, you still have the couples that love that tradition. My biggest suggest is keep it simple and edible! It's amazing how many keys chains and wine bottle stoppers I pick up at the end of the reception and give back to the couple along with their other packed items. But an edible guest favor...WOW...all you see are empty wrappers on the tables. Consider some of these unique suggestions:

Delicious organic truffles from Katherine Anne Confections...and her caramels are to die for, too!

How about Hot chocolate on a stick by http://www.petrossian.com/

A Whoopie Pie by http://www.wannahavacake.com/ that I'm almost sure your guests will eat before they depart!

Caramel or chocolate-dipped fortune cookies from http://www.myluckyfortune.com/

Yummy bag of cotton candy from http://www.flosszone.com/

And my fav absolutely has to be cake bites! Check out my newest Twitter fans of My Cake Bite Delights...you'll love them!

A Salute To The Caramel Apple!

As I'm assembling the last of the guest favors for this weekend's weddings, I'm wondering how many of these little boxes and organza bags will I be picking up at the end of the reception. They add a beautiful presence to the guest tables, but a lot of them are left behind at the end of the night.

With fall here in and the 2010 wedding season coming to an end, what better why to celebrate the season and your guests with caramel apples!!!

Consider caramel apples decorated with the couples favorite candies and sprinkles or how about giving the female guests a bride and the male guests a groom. Or maybe stick with the traditional look of the caramel apple and create a presentation with additional sweet treats that your guests will smile about.

At my October 2, 2010 wedding, we changed the escort card table into the caramel apple display at the end of the reception. Guests were too happy to take home these tasty treats from Katherine Ann Confections in Chicago, Illinois.

Or should you really want to showcase your love of caramel apples, check out this whimsical wedding cake.

Fall's Beautiful Arrival!!

Fall has to be my favorite season because of all the beauty it brings! Being the shortest season in the Midwest, more couples are deciding to get married during this time. The beauty of "Indian Summer" makes a fab backdrop for ceremonies, receptions and photography, but you must always make sure to have a 'Plan B' due to the changing weather.

You can see rich tones of red, orange, yellow, brown, and green canvas almost every detail of the fall-induced bride. Check out the inspritation below...pulled together in celebration of fall.
